The Jesus Music Experience

When Duane M Evarts presents a Jesus Music Experience concert, audiences enjoy a safe, fun, family-friendly time of Christian music, anecdotal stories, historical education about the 1970's-80's Jesus Movement era and personal testimony tailored to the intent of the event.

Duane's journey in music spans decades, from Jesus Music audio production to contemporary faith-based performances. A retired Certified Professional Broadcast Engineer (CPBE), he blends technical prowess with heartfelt ministry. On Facebook since at least 2009, Duane founded The Jesus Music Experience group in 2025 as an evangelistic platform, posting video episodes that re-introduce forgotten Jesus Music era Christian artists and their songs.

Duane's personal posts often weave stories—family tributes, spiritual reflections, and open-mic performances—with CCM history. Recent activities include birthday nods to loved ones and video shares, showing consistent dedication. His content emphasizes hope, with themes from Genesis through Revelation to modern worship, performed in both intimate settings like open mics and larger outdoor festivals.

P.A. SYSTEM: This is an obvious requirement for most, but occasionally someone will think that Duane brings his own, so it is mentioned here. This is an important item to the enjoyment and even the anointing of the concert.

Duane does not require an elaborate system, but the better the quality, the better the concert. He needs one vocal microphone on a boom stand for his vocals and a standard ¼” plug wire at the mike stand for the guitar to plug into the PA. Only one stage monitor is needed.

SOUND CHECK: The system should be totally set up and ready for sound check one hour before concert starting time. Please have a sound tech available during the sound check and throughout the event.

VIDEO PROJECTOR or LARGE VIDEO MONITOR and COMPUTER: Duane will provide a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation on a USB flashdrive that will be used in conjunction with his performance. An operator familiar with PowerPoint is also needed throughout the performance to advance the slides. If a computer and/or operator is not available, he can provide a laptop PC that will require some kind of table or support system and an HDMI cable from the video equipment near the microphone stand to plug in the laptop. Duane will advance the slides himself as needed.

TAPE SALES: We request that a table be provided at the entrance of the hall for media and merch sales. If expected attendance exceeds 300 or so, a second table may be needed.

SALESPERSON: We request that you provide a volunteer to attend each table and sell merchandise after the concert. Duane will meet with that person before the concert to go over the specifics on handling sales.
