What to expect
"Jamphibians play Allman Bros"
Lead guitarists Bob Kotarba and Lee Bookman have been playing Allman Brothers tunes since grade school, delivering harmonized guitar lines so authentic, you’d swear Duane and Dickey were in the room. Frontman Richard Middleton’s soulful, commanding voice grabs you from the first note of “It’s Not My Cross to Bear” and doesn’t let go. Driving the groove, drummer John McSweeny and bassist David Clark form a tight, unshakable rhythm section, while William Ham’s Hammond organ—swirling through a Leslie speaker—wraps it all in a vintage warmth that transports you straight to the Fillmore East, circa 1971.
"What else will I Hear"
Along with many songs by the Allman Brothers, you will hear choice covers from the Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Warren Haynes, The Marshal Tucker Band and more.
About
The Jamphibians are a Southern Rock and Blues band rooted in Charleston, South Carolina—but their journey began in the musical hotbed of Athens, Georgia. It was there that vocalist-guitarist Richard Middleton and bassist David Clark first joined forces, writing and performing original music that laid the foundation for what was to come. Fast forward 20 years, the two musicians found themselves reunited in Charleston and inspired to bring their sound back to life. They teamed up with four exceptional local talents—lead guitarists Bob Kotarba and Lee Bookman, William Ham on Hammond organ and piano, and drummer John McSweeny—to officially form The Jamphibians.
