The Island Guys are a talented Caribbean Steel Drum Band based out of Detroit Michigan The group performs Caribbean Steel Drum Music for all types of events; Parties, Weddings, Concerts, Clubs, Bar Mitzvahs, Tradeshows, and Festivals.
In addition to performing live steel pan music, this versatile band also performs a wide variety of other music such as jazz, latin, pop, motown, salsa, top/40, hawaiian and Jimmy Buffett. There performance can be live steel drum music with or without vocals depending on client request.

I hired The Island Guys for my Jamaican family reunion here in Michigan. When looking for entertainment, I wanted something unique yet representative of my family's heritage. The Island Guys did not disappoint! The music was excellent. The volume was perfect for the home-based venue, and they are all great musicians! Playing to the crowd vibe, the event was classy and fun for all ages from start to finish. Above all, they were kind and accommodating. I highly recommend the Island Guys for any event you are planning!

We are an exciting steel drum band that performs calypso, reggae, Latin, pop and tropical jazz. We bring the sounds of the islands to every event. We also have lots of audience participation with our show!!! Our band consists of steel drums, keyboards and percussion vocals.

Keyboardist Terrence Lester is the founder of The Island Guys Band along with percussionist/vocalist Ray Ward and Steel Drummer/Saxophonist/Vocalist Lamar Woodall the band has been playing together for 12 years.
The Island Guys perform at hundreds of events throughout Michigan and nationwide. They are also one of the featured bands on The popular Ovation & Infinity summer yacht charters In St Clair Shores (link hidden)e band has also been featured in The Metro Times, Real Detroit, The Detroit News and Southfield Fun Newspaper.
In addition to bringing great island music to any event the band is a very tight and professional act that takes pride in making sure that each client receives 100% satisfaction at every performance. The band is also great at providing comedy and audience participation at a lot of their shows.
