About

Sherry Grote is a strategic leadership expert, keynote speaker, and the creator of The Harmony Hero™ Framework and The Play-Doh Principle™—transformative approaches that help leaders turn chaos into clarity, complexity into collaboration, and rigidity into resilience. With over two decades of experience driving growth and brand transformation in high-pressure industries, Sherry combines business acumen with a deep commitment to human-centered leadership.

Her credibility is both professional and personal. While leading large-scale marketing and strategy initiatives, she also spent 11 years caring for her husband after a brain stem stroke and supporting her family through some of life's hardest seasons. Those experiences taught her what resilience, adaptability, and authentic leadership truly mean—and why staying moldable, not hardened, is the key to sustainable success.

Earlier in her journey, Sherry studied and earned her pastoral license, which gave her a foundation in principles that work as powerfully in leadership as they do in life. She never needed a title to practice them, but the wisdom she gained shaped the way she led, coached, and inspired others throughout her corporate career.

Today, Sherry equips leaders with practical tools to navigate uncertainty and align their teams with confidence and purpose. Through The Play-Doh Principle™, she teaches leaders to be shapers, not sculptors—staying flexible enough to reshape around challenges while holding their values steady. She has partnered with C-level executives, operational leaders, and cross-functional teams to increase engagement, reduce burnout, and achieve measurable impact. Her sessions blend powerful storytelling, actionable insights, and an inspiring call to lead boldly through life's storms.

When the waves rise, Sherry shows leaders how to find their steady rhythm, stay pliable under pressure, and create harmony that resonates across their teams, organizations, and communities.

Influences and inspiration

My journey to becoming The Harmony Hero wasn't learned in business school. It was forged in the fire of real life.

Over 25+ years, I climbed from marketing manager to CMO, leading high-growth startups through explosive expansion. But my most defining leadership lessons didn't come from the boardroom. They came from the bedside.

For over 11 years, I have been caring for my husband after he survived a devastating brain stem stroke. During those same years, I was raising two children and walking three of our parents through their final stages of life. All while building teams, scaling companies, and driving millions in revenue growth.

Most people would say, "You can't do both." I learned you absolutely can—but only if you understand harmony.
Real harmony isn't about balance. It's about integration.

The compassion I learned at the bedside made me a better leader in the boardroom. The strategic thinking I honed in corporate America made me a more effective caregiver. The resilience required to show up for my family every single day gave me the strength to lead through impossible business challenges.

I discovered that the same principles that keep a family together through crisis are the ones that keep teams thriving through transformation. Presence over perfection. Commitment over convenience. Faith over fear.

The Harmony Hero Framework was born from necessity, tested in the trenches, and proven in both the most intimate and the most high-stakes environments imaginable.

This isn't theory. This is survival wisdom that became a competitive advantage. And now, it's a movement to help leaders stop choosing between success and sustainability—and start building both.
