Laurent wrote this piece for me as a tribute to my mother whom I lost 3/5/21. Let's just say he understood the assignment. He actually went above and beyond and brought so much joy to my family with this poem. I first listened to Laurent at a spoken word night at a local club here in Cincy and fell in love with his stage presence and poetry. When I decided to start this project, he was the first person that came to mind. What I thought would be a difficult task, he made seem so easy and natural. I went into this with my eyes closed and trusted his creativity and I'm so glad that I chose him as the poet.
I hope one day everyone can experience the talent that Laurent has to offer because he is ALL OF THE ABOVE!
