The Exiles have been playing soul music since 1967. An eight-piece band with typical soul instrumentation, we specialize in the soul music of the late 60s and early 70s, the Stax sound of Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding and Sam and Dave. We also do some Motown, James Brown, and a little bit of 50s rock and roll. The Exiles have a big, full sound that is perfect for dances, reunions, car shows, festivals and we can handle large or outdoor venues with no problems.

The Exiles feature three horns (alto and tenor saxes and trombone), guitar, bass, drums, two keyboards (piano / synth and organ), and two lead vocalists. Our members are all mature, experienced musicians and we show up on time, sober, and ready to play. We take pride in performing all our music live - that is, no pre-recorded tracks or sequencing. We use only top of the line equipment and, with our excellent sound engineer, we produce a full yet controlled sound that is clear and undistorted. This pure sound of soul is great music for dancing or just listening. We have 2 recent CDs and live performance videos available for potential clients, along with a strong online presence.
