The Duo Soli is a classical and contemporary guitar and vocal duo perfect for any event, playing classical, jazz, folk, country, and pop music. Sojourner earned his Masters in classical Guitar Performance from Peabody Conservatory, but grew up in Tennessee learning contemporary and fingerstyle guitar. Lisa also earned her degree in classical Vocal Performance from Peabody, and went on to manage her own contemporary vocal band that performed across the country to groups of all ages.
Both Sojourner and Lisa have a deep understanding of both classical and contemporary music, and pride themselves on tailoring their musical selections for individual events to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

They were so easy to work with, came with all their equipment, and truly created the most wonderful ambiance at our event. They can play for hours and have more affordable rates than most other private musicians I've worked with- definitely the perfect addition to any party or dining experience.

Both graduates of the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, we hold degrees in Vocal Performance and Classical Guitar Performance. Over the years, we've performed across the country from prestigious stages to cozy cafés and family kitchens, but the most memorable moments have always come from the meaningful experiences we've helped create for families. We take a lot of inspiration from Les Paul and Mary Ford. They were a married musical duo that worked so well together to write timeless and beautiful music, both singing and playing guitars with Mary being the primary vocalist and Les being the primary guitarist.
We are happy to perform without any amplification if you would like soft and natural background music, say in a home or small event space.
We are happy to bring our amplifier with a plug in for our guitar and vocal microphone.
We are also happy to perform on any existing systems you might have at your event for guitar and vocals.
