Fisher/Tilner Acoustic Duo

When you hire Fisher/Tilner, you get clear communication, no drama, and a simple, clean set up. As a duo, we can slip into almost any space, be it a cocktail hour or corporate event. For smaller venues, we have a minimalist set up of two amps and two microphones. For larger venues, we will bring a PA system with two mounted speakers.

For longer gigs, we usually play for 45 to 60 minutes, take a 15-20 minute break, then play another 45 minutes for each additional set with 15 minute breaks in between. We can provide break music if you would like, and can customize the break music to your specifications.

Whether you need nuanced background music - or a more featured performance - we are happy to create the prefect vibe for your event!

Lead singer Kathleen Fisher - also known as "Fisher"- has been a working recording artist for over 20 years, having been featured in numerous national ad campaigns (Toyota, Hyundai, Nike and many, many more), and releasing several cds of her own (Interscope, Atlantic Records, Iris Records). As a solo vocalist - and often with her own material - Fisher has been featured in film and television shows, including singing live with her band on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Live with Regis and Kelly (with the song "I Will Love You"). Guitarist Mitch Tilner has been playing guitar since the young age of 12, mastering the art of both classical and contemporary playing with a style and grace all his own. His influences include The Beatles, Cat Stevens, The Eagles and John Prine.

We bring our own equipment. Easy-access, reliable electricity is really all that we require. If it is an evening event, adequate lighting would be needed for general functioning, but no stage lighting is required. If it is a daytime event in warm/hot weather, some type of sun shade structure would be needed.
