The Diamonds from Kingsport, TN played for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner in early March. They were fantastic! Everyone enjoyed their music. They worked with us and played some requested pieces, and they made our event a wonderful party. Thank you to the Diamonds! Not only were they talented musicians, but were also just wonderful people to meet.
Lately, I have had the pleasure of enjoying the music of the Diamonds in several venues. There is a spirit of deep respect for people and sound in their playing. Morissa, Glenn, and Sloan shine as their talents blend together to showcase beautiful music of jazz artists throughout the years. Sloan's arrangements give the songs a freshness and an added beauty. I have often watched couples dance and the audience experience heartfelt gratitude as they listen in joy. As for me, a singer who has loved music all my life, I have found a sense of peace and happiness in the evenings where their music has touched me, often being "carried away." Come join them at Cafe Lola in Johnson City on Tuesday nights from 6:00 - 9:00 pm or at Atlanta Bread Company in Johnson City from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. You will want to book them for a special occasion in your life or just share an intimate evening with them. Marcy W. Hagen, Kingsport, TN

What to Expect
Our Music is laid back jazz at a comfortable volume. When preferred, we can kick it up with a drummer and larger horn section. Our specialty is the intimate setting!
From East Tennessee, The Diamonds play swing, groove-funk, and Latin jazz. The group performs at various venues and events throughout the region, including weddings, parties, and restaurants. They also volunteer at many nursing homes, assisted living homes, and charitable organizations in the area.
Sloan Hill plays trumpet and flugelhorn. His lyrical style is a real treat! At 14, Hill played with Kingsport’s legendary Bill Gamble. His experience and talent led him to arrange for nine years with the Air Force. He spent a small stint on Broadway and has played with numerous jazz legends around the world. He also played with Charles Goodwin and currently plays with the Milligan Jazz Band.
Glenn Diamond, on bass, brings the groove. His voice leans toward a smooth, west coast cool sound. While living in Texas, Diamond sat in with such greats as Lyle Lovett and Ray Charles’s long-time guitar player Jimmie James, and was Columbian jazz pianist Eduardo Alcayaga’s bass player before moving to Johnson City. While attending E.T.S.U., Diamond played with Jon Faddis, Rita Coolidge, The Jazz Doctors, and as the Principal Bassist of the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra. He recenly played for the legendary Shirley Jones. He also plays with the Milligan Jazz Band.
Morissa Diamond, on keys, grounds the band. Her beautiful voice and playing tend toward the new era of jazz, such as Norah Jones. Diamond studied with Chris Walters from the band “Alabama,” and is sought after for various concerts in the region. While attending E.T.S.U. and Cumberland University, she performed with Maynard Ferguson, Ed Shaughnessy, the Marvin Stamm Quartet, Futureman, and Jeff Coffin of the Dave Matthews Band.
