The Creole Jazz Band

The Creole Jazz Band plays traditional jazz, also know as Dixie or New Orleans Jazz, with a traditional instrument configuration. Our rhythm section is made up of a tuba and banjo with our front row being a trumpet, clarinet and trombone. As all of our instruments are acoustic, we can play at any location as we don't require a power source.

We also have a dance band configuration which consists of a rhythm section of drums, guitar and bass. The horn section consists of trumpet, trombone, and sax. This allows us to play dance music from the 1920's to present. We present tangos, foxtrots, cha-cha, waltzes, rhumba and polkas. We always play strict tempo for dances.

We can also provide background music for dinners and gatherings. For such occasions the band size is adjusted for the venue. We can work with as a few as two players.

Our goal is to add to your event so we work hard to meet and exceed all of your expectations. With enough notice we have been able to learn new tunes that people specifically want. We can work with choreographers in order to create arrangements at the tempo they want to dance at, as well as provide the necessary rehearsal tracks for the dancers.

If you are looking for something that we have not described above, please be sure to ask. We all play at least two instruments so we can alter our configuration to provide many different sounds.
