What to expect
To Whom It May Concern,
I am delighted to write this letter of reference for Nick Levesque, professionally known as The Cavalier Son. As the Manager of the Seaside Shanty in Chester Basin, Nova Scotia, I had the pleasure of hosting Nick for ten evenings this past season on our oceanside patio, where he provided unforgettable live entertainment for our guests.
Nick is an exceptionally talented guitarist and performer. His music brings an energy that is both uplifting and soulful, perfectly complementing the relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere we strive to create at the Seaside Shanty. Beyond his obvious musical ability, Nick demonstrates a level of professionalism and reliability that makes him a true joy to work with. He arrived well-prepared for every performance, respected our schedule, and was consistently dependable—qualities that are invaluable to any venue.
What truly sets Nick apart, however, is his connection with people. He has a natural ability to engage with the crowd, making each guest feel part of the experience. Whether it was encouraging sing-alongs, sharing stories between songs, or reading the room to adapt his setlist, Nick created moments that our patrons are still talking about. His creativity and dedication to his craft transformed our patio evenings into something truly special.
At the Seaside Shanty, we are committed to creating memorable dining experiences, and Nick played an essential role in achieving that this past season. I wholeheartedly recommend The Cavalier Son for any resort, restaurant, or live music venue seeking an artist who brings not only exceptional talent, but also professionalism, reliability, creativity, and a genuine connection with his audience.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you would like any further information.
Warm regards,
Mitch R Vallee

About
I have had the privilege of playing music across Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.
Music is my therapy. Music brings people together, and music can heal when it is needed most.
Allow me the privilege to share this universal remedy with you. Music is the world’s best natural therapy. Whether you need a good laugh, a good cry, or just some good company, your favourite songs will always be there to comfort you or even inspire you when you need it most.
Let the sweet rhythm of my guitar soothe you and let my soulful voice unburden you, even if it’s just for an hour or two.
Come take a trip across the musical universe with me, The Cavalier Son, for some music therapy, good people and great songs for the soul.
From Rock & Roll to Country to Folk music, both old and new, musical legends stories will be told: Dylan, Cohen, Cash, Springsteen, Coldplay, Blue Rodeo, Lightfoot and so many more.
It’s an honour to be able to get to share some of musics greatest stories with you.
Cheers
Nick The Cavalier Son
