About
Luke Lovemore, a finalist on The Voice South Africa, is a Durban-born, Montreal-based artist with over 15 years of experience. Known for his bluesy guitar work and soulful vocals, his genre-blending style mixes alt-rock, folk, blues, and hip-hop, driven by raw emotion and storytelling.
Luke started playing guitar as a teenager, teaching himself after being grounded. Within a year, he won a local competition, realizing music was his true path. He later launched the music program at Northwood High School and refined his skills at Stardust Theatrical Dining in Cape Town with genre-bending mashups.
Inspired by artists like Tracy Chapman, John Mayer, and Jon Bellion, Luke’s sound is personal and powerful. His performances, whether on a festival stage or in an intimate venue, leave a lasting impression.
Outside music, Luke loves fantasy books, fitness, and dreams of hosting backyard music festivals on his future farm.
