At a Cass and Chris show, you can count on good vibes, familiar tunes, and unexpected twists. We take the songs you love — from classic rock to ‘80s anthems to acoustic americana — and make them our own with rich harmonies, a little storytelling, and just the right amount of guitar. Whether we’re playing your favorite bar, a lakeside patio, or restaurant you’ll get music that feels familiar but never predictable. It's not a concert — it’s a hangout with two friends who just happen to love playing music.
Cass and Chris is a dynamic musical duo bringing a fresh, inviting sound to the local music scene. Based in the Lake Wylie, SC area and playing throughout Matthews, NC, and surrounding areas, they blend skill, warmth, and a deep love for music to create an experience that’s fun and welcoming.
Performance Format:
Cass and Chris are an acoustic duo — guitar, vocals, light percussion, and the occasional surprise instrument. We’re a plug-and-play setup with minimal stage footprint and no need for booming volume.
Set Length & Structure:
* Flexible sets ranging from 60 to 180 minutes
* Can play up to 3 sets with short breaks
* Setlist includes acoustic versions of well-known rock, pop, country, and indie tunes (no worship music)
Space Requirements:
* Minimum 8x6 ft performance area
* Access to one standard 110V outlet
* Flat, dry surface (indoor or outdoor with cover)
Sound Setup:
* We bring our own compact PA system (up to 200-person capacity)
* Can connect to house systems if preferred (standard XLR or ¼” input)
* We provide all microphones, cables, stands, and monitors
Lighting:
* We typically perform under house lighting but can bring a small LED light kit if needed (let us know in advance)
Setup & Breakdown:
* Arrival 60 minutes before showtime
* 30 minutes to fully set up
* 30 minutes to tear down
Additional Notes:
* We do not require a green room, but water and a small table nearby are appreciated
* We’re volume-aware and always adjust to the vibe of the space
* We are family-friendly but fun-first.
