September 29, 2019YAS!
100% recommend Professional Folk. They were amazing! Our venue was acoustic only but we knew we wanted a band that would still keep the dance floor going. They were so easy to work with from the moment I reached out to the day of. Their covers for us were beautiful, and our guest loved them. My dad asked them to learn a song on the fly to surprise me for our father/daughter dance- and they did it! I still can’t believe they did that for us. They went over and beyond. They are so talented and we are very grateful we had them during our special night. Thanks guys- you’re amazing!

September 7, 2019Best. Wedding Band. Ever.
Aubrey and Luke rock. You will NOT be disappointed. They know to run a wedding/playing to the crowd at the time. Each and every wedding guest told us our band was awesome and I even had two separate friends who are engaged asked for their info. There isn't a better band out there.

April 28, 2018Upstate NY Lakeside Wedding with a KICKASS band
My wife and I had the pleasure of hiring Professional Folk to play our wedding in Upstate NY in Sept 2017 (The Inns of Aurora in Aurora, NY). Lucas and his team were so easy to work with from the initial discussions until the end of the wedding night. Lucas assisted us throughout the process in recommending instrument combinations and band member selections.
Professional Folk has an extensive network of talented band members that can service many parts of the country. Additionally, Lucas coordinated the logistics of travel, arrival, set-up, and clean-up with our venue. We did not have to worry about any of the music/sound for the ceremony or reception once we finalized our contract. Very easy and professional!
We had a six piece band (Guitar/Lead Vocal, Vocal, Violinist, Pianist/Keyboard, Bass Guitar, and Drums. In a lakeside wedding setting this band set was plenty of sound to keep our party of 100 guests dancing all night. The versatility of their band combinations allows for a wide range of different songs. Lucas arranged a list of songs and tailored the performance to the feeling of the room. Professional Folk plays many eras of music but they also learn new songs so you will have a great selection of classic and new music.
Our wedding guests could not stop commenting on how happy they were with the band's sound and energy. We can't wait to book them again in the future!

February 25, 2018Best Wedding Band Ever
We booked Professional Folk (male and female vocals, acoustic guitar, fiddle, upright bass, trumpet, sax and percussion) for our beach wedding last summer and they were absolutely phenomenal in every way. Our ceremony was perfection and all of our guests had a blast dancing the night away -- even some of the older ones that we didn't even expect to dance were on the dance floor! :-)
I knew this was the band I wanted to hire after my first conversation with Lucas Last, the band founder. He was so professional and had tons of great ideas for how to work within our venues strict music policies (no amplified music on a beach with crashing waves). He was so helpful in planning the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
I could go on, but my point is this: if you are looking for awesome live music and professional service at a reasonable price... hire Professional Folk. You won't regret it!

February 2, 2018Excellent show
Lucas and Aubrey are indeed talented. They are also funny, and the audience enjoyed their performance. Their showcase during the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards was a success and an excellent moment.
Congrats.
