I'm someone that really knows how to read the room and is not afraid to adjust the program in order to fit the needs of the audience.

LORD I HAVE STRUGGLED! I have struggled with accepting my body for most of my life and going from diet to diet. I struggle with low self-esteem because for most of my life I connected the way that I looked with my worth. I only felt good enough when I was getting attention from someone. Especially because nobody was checking for me. Since the age of 13 when I was labelled "overweight' by my doctor, I signed myself up for a 20 year journey of striving for thinnest. And then it all became just too much.

Being in the fitness industry for over 10 years and having a Masters degree in Exercise Science, I have had too many doors slammed in my face because of my size. Even when I got down to my smallest size, it wasn't GOOD ENOUGH! Finally, I started searching within myself to find some answers and I learned that I needed to create a stronger relationship with myself versus busting my buns to create relationships with other people who only accepted me if I was the way that they wanted me to be. Finding me helped me to become the healthiest and happiest version of myself all at my size 14/16. I learned that my pants size has nothing to do with my worth or how healthy I am.

I strongly believe that wellness is not just about weight loss, counting calories, and restrictive diets. Wellness is about your state of being and that is bigger than what the number on the scale says. My philosophy is that when you create a healthy relationship with yourself you can truly achieve a healthy lifestyle. I am advocating for the woman that is afraid to start this journey because she is struggling with gym anxiety and intimidation because she is the only person that looks like her in the class. She shrinks herself, makes herself smaller, and hides in the back of class. The woman that is struggling to disconnect her self-worth to the way her body looks. She feels that to be validated, loved, healthy, accepted, or successful she must attain the “perfect” body. The woman that wants to create a stronger, deeper, loving, and meaningful relationship with their body so that she can love are curves, hip dips, love handles, and more!
