A Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Blues and Country cover band playing songs from the 60s and 70s by artists including Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Van Morrison, Allman Brothers, BTO, Bad Company, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Beatles, The Band, Who, Rolling Stones, B.B. King, Wilson Pickett, NRBQ, Marshall Tucker, Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ Top, Elvis, CCR, Warren Zevon, Fabulous Thunderbirds and others. We feature one of the areas's finest lead guitar players backed by two rythm guitars, three part harmonies, percussion, drums and bass guitar. We have a large following of good time party friends and we invite friends and members of the audience that play or sing to join the fun on stage.
The Benevolent Dictators played one great song after another (and not the typical ones you hear every where else) and ones that I could not sit still listening to. Very upbeat and thoroughly enjoyable performance.
Response from The Benevolent Dictators:
Thanks Bev...gladyou had a great time. We always love it when the girls are out there shaking their booties!
Talented, great stage presence and awesome renditions of some of the best songs we all know!! Great time for anyone who attends one of their shows.
Great band, great music, great crowd = great fun
I loved their harmonies especially when the lead guitarist blended underneath the voices. He was terrific!
Went to see this band last weekend for the first time not knowing what to expect. They were fantastic! Fun and energetic, and they really connected with the crowd. We would definitely drive a long way to go see them again!
Went to a gig at the Elks Club last Friday and had a great time. The group plays everything I love and their enthusiasm spills over to the audience. Would definitely hire them for an event. The Benevolent Dictators got the crowd going and made it a night to remember.
Those of us of a certain age really appreciate singing and dancing along to the songs we grew up with, though the 20-somethings were obviously having a great time as well. Friendly bunch of guys who welcome audience participation, too. SInce i didn't hire them, I can't speak to their price/communication, but I would definitely go out to hear them again.
Benevolent Dictators played at my block party last weekend and I just can't say enough about them. They were on time, professional, prepared, and sounded great! They engaged the audience and everyone had a great time.
I would recommend this band to anyone!
I've seen these guys play on a couple of occasions and each time it seems that their song library grows and they get better and better. Good bunch of guys and they work well with the crowd and get people involved in the show. Kids will also have fun while they are playing. I look forward to seeing them again.
The Benelovent Dictators really get the crowd going by playing the songs we all love. They make for a fun night out of dancing and good music.
I've booked this band and they're professional and great to work with. The event was on the Elks' patio and there was some question about the weather, but they were totally willing to set up outdoors and move inside if the weather called for it...luckily we didn't have to move inside.
They were professional and easy going...obviously ready to please the crowd. They kept people dancing and happy. I'd hire them again in a flash.
I have seen The Dictators multiple times and they are a great cover band. I missed the Cinco de Mayo event at the Elks in Middletown, CT (had the date as May 5, not 4) and my daughter was mad at me for the whole weekend as a result. Looking forward to their next gig.
This band has fun when it plays and its members make sure that the audience does, too. Lot's of opportunities to join in and sing along. Good harmonies and rockin guitar work. A great night out. You'll see.
Love the band - great group of guys with talent as big as their hearts!! They've volunteered to play our foster family & children's group home summer picnic for many years - their music is fun and family friendly and always enjoyed by the parents, children as well as the staff. The best part is watching what it means to the children who get to become part of the band - priceless :0) I've also seen them at the Elks, private parties and Ducks Unlimited banquet - always a hit for dancing or just singing/humming along.
came out from Kansas to visit family heard about the music at the Elks, so me and one sister and four brothers came out to listen, had a great time. their music was from our generation, not too old but not the modern stuff. music we grew up with
They really know their music. Great fun.
Nice group of guys, love the music, danced all night.
Have seen them play on multiple ocassions and always a pleasure. Great group of guys, very approachable if you want to meet them or have a special request. Would definitely recommend checking them out.
