I was born on July 9, 1985, in Birmingham, Alabama, and raised in Prattville. After graduating high school, I proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where I served 13 years on active duty and completed four deployments. Following a medical retirement from the military, I chose to pursue a lifelong passion for cooking and enrolled in culinary school.
In February 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I founded my catering business, That Girl Netia, driven by determination, resilience, and a deep love for the culinary arts. What began as a leap of faith has become a true blessing. I take pride in creating beautiful, flavorful food and unforgettable experiences that bring people together and leave a lasting impression.
