April 3, 2022My brother in law was taken from us suddenly, as we were preparing to fly him to Boston for hospice in our home. He was a lifelong fan of classical music, particularly opera. So we were very fortunate, on short notice, to find Jose to perform at a memorial gathering. Jose was thrilling to listen to and some people taped it. Award winning tenor José Heredia attended the Manhattan School of Music and Nyack College School of Music. He has performed the lead tenor roles in “Rigoletto,” “Carmen,” “La Taviata,” “Un ballo in Maschera,” “L’elisir d’amore,” Leoncavallo’s “La Bohéme,” Puccini’s “La bohéme,” “Aida,” and “Tosca” with companies like NJ Verismo, Bravo Opera Alliance, Regina Opera, Amore Opera, dell’arte Opera ensemble, NY Lyric Opera Theater, Long Island Lyric Opera, Opera Ithaca and OperaRD in Dominican Republic. He performed the role of “Turiddu” in Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” with the Brooklyn Philharmonia Chorus, and the role of "Riccardo" in Verdi's "Un ballo in maschera" with Amore Opera, both in May of 2019. Jose Heredia has studied with the Met Opera’s Mignon Dunn, and is currently a pupil of Dr. Dana Talley and Tamie Laurance.
Opera singers usually do not require a microphone; if the event is outdoors however, a microphone is needed. If there is no pianist, I can provide my own backing tracks and speaker, should the host not have any available.
