Tajlyn is a one woman band. Before she strikes her first note, the sight of her unique set ups alone create an interest & curiosity within the audience. Performing original music, sometimes covers, with her full foot drum kit, electric & acoustic guitars, didgeridoo, doumbek, a simple shaker, hand percussion as well as singing, she brings the sound of a full ensemble. Her sound is ever changing between fluid, relaxing guitar fingerings, revitalizing vibrations of the didgeridoo, raw & grungy blues rock, powerful vocals & unique guitar solos to the drum beats that will get you dancing. She continues to seek out what the world of music has to offer. Contact us today to book Tajlyn. Cheers!

Tajlyn was born a drought baby in a mid-western suburban town, outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. The youngest daughter of an undertaker and housewife turned belly dancer, Tajlyn spent most of her time with her older sister, a blizzard baby, at their father’s funeral home; where they co-wrote their first jingle.
She discovered music when she watched an episode of Mr. Rogers that showed a boy her age playing the violin. Being instantly mesmerized by this new discovery, she continually nagged her mother for permission to play the violin; which was granted at the age of five. For nearly four years Tajlyn was under the impression that kids were only allowed to play one instrument and that it had to be classical. (Still unclear of when an how this confusion subsided.) She slowly added to her collection of
instruments, ranging from the mandolin to the didgeridoo. By age fifteen she had nearly ten instruments under her belt. Her mother’s involvement in belly dancing introduced Tajlyn to music of the Middle East, inspiring her to seek out any and all style of music, even film scores.
After High School, she decided that she wanted to record an album. She started writing songs and recorded her first album at a friend’s recording studio in the Ohio Countryside. This album was released in 2011 and is called New Element. New Element is available for purchase online and at her shows.
From September of 2013 to November of 2014, Tajlyn took her instruments and her talent out West, spreading her music through Central California. From Big Sur to Clipper Mills, many shows were played and enjoyed, plenty of great people met and a whole lotta fun! At the end of 2014, she decided to get back on the road for several months to explore Washington and Colorado. Shortly after getting to Washinton, the Farmer Foot Drum came in the mail. During this time she spent a lot of time learning this new instrument and preparing for the Summer Tour of 2015.
During the Summer of 2015, Tajlyn traveled back Ohio to play a few shows and catch up with those she had missed. In August, Casandra and Tajlyn drove the Gig Dragon all the way to California from Ohio and played quite a few shows over a few weeks’ time. This tour was a wonderful experience and greatly inspired us to keep this going.
Today, Tajlyn is working on and recording her next album with the same friend who produced New Element. Keep an eye out for her next album, White Dwarf.
Tajlyn is pursuing a nomadic life of music, travel and good times.
