About

I love telling stories!! There is nothing more exhilarating than taking listeners on a journey of self-discovery. Stories are glimpses into our reality!

I remember someone telling me after a show, "There's just something about your voice when I hear you speak!" -it actually caught me off guard. Even though I've heard it my entire life it took years for the truth to find me. So often people say "I remember what you told me, and it changed my life!", and they tell me they'll 'never' forget what I told them.

These very humbling testimonies that cause me to dig deeper into my calling. Now, I do not take words for granted...they are "apples of gold in pitchers of silver." Each one can be an arrow into a heart! So, I'm learning to take care when I use them. I say "learning" because I will ever be the student, and Christ will ever be my teacher! I hope to hear from you soon!

Influences and inspiration

My influences a wide and varied. A large helping of Maya Angelo meets Lauren Hill, add Nikki Giovanni, mix in Shakespeare, a dash of Tupac, another dash of Badu, a cup of Jill Scott, and add India Arie according to your taste buds, and a smattering of Emily Dickinson. Mix well and blend with Jazz, Classical, and Gospel music. Bake in a properly heated oven with the fire of the Holy Ghost. You know I'm done by the caramel color of my brown skin. Enjoy!

Setup requirements

Properly working sound system to include a microphone, mic stand, speaker, and podium; adequate lighting.
