September 3, 2024For well over a decade, Swingbooty has entertained diverse audiences at a wide variety of events and venues. Led by Christian Lange (violin), this talented 7-member band (with 2 guitars, keyboards, bass, drums, and a rotation of some of Knoxville’s best vocalists) performs the Gypsy Jazz inspired by Django Rheinhardt and Stephan Grappelli as well as other styles of swingin’ jazz. As a concert band, their music is captivating, and if you have a dance floor, they really know how to get your feet and – ahem! – moving and grooving.

Led by Chilean violinist Christian Lange, this 7-piece Swing band draws it's inspiration from the Manouche tradition –Django Rhinehardt, Stephane Grappelli, and the hot club movement of France in the 1930's. Swingbooty plays in festivals, clubs, and is also available for private events. Its show frequently draw dancers, flow artists, and fire performers.
Swingbooty is capable of providing a PA system for performances in venues that do not have this in-house. Please let us know if this is a requirement.
