Swing Sabroso

Our motto is always perform for the dancers and fans and have fun. That's the only way to keep everyone on the dance floor. We are more than a Salsa Band we are a family of musicians. Swing Sabroso is one of the top Salsa Bands in the business with a large following. The musicianship in the band is one of the best in the business and we will always give more than 100% at every event.

Since it’s inception in 2000, Swing Sabroso has generated a growing number of loyal fans throughout the tri-state area and abroad. The group’s distinctive style (Salsa) is the result of the unique and extensive musical back grounds of the band’s individual members, who have performed and recorded with some of the most recognizable names in Latin Music before joining together to integrate Swing Sabroso.
Swing Sabroso was formed by Ray Rodriguez who recently struggled with cancer and lost his battle on 4/17/16. During his long battle he turned over the band to Edwin Muñiz who has been with the band from the beginning as well as his friend for almost 40 years.
In 2005, Swing Sabroso recorded their debut CD appropriately titled “Baila con Swing Sabroso” which received great reviews by specialized media and continues to be a favorite with many DJ’s and dancers.
They have also been signed by “Freestyle Records” a label from the UK who released
2 separate CD compilations.
Swing Sabroso continues to perform with great reviews at such venues as Lincoln Center, NJPAC, S.O.B.s, LQ’s Philadelphia Salsa Congress, NYC Salsa Congress, Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Festival, Asbury Park Jazz & Blues Festival, Empire City Yonkers Raceway, World Resorts Casino, and at many other festivals and clubs throughout the tri-state area. They have also shared the stage with Grammy award winners Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente, and others.
In April 2015 Swing Sabroso completed their second CD titled “Salsa Pa’l Mundo Entero” which has received great reviews and has had 3 tunes on the top of the charts. After a year the CD continues to consistently have tunes on the top of the charts and has sold out on CD Baby many times which has to be replenished a few times a year.
Swing Sabroso is currently playing at many venues and outdoor events and continues to grow their large fan base. We are currently working on our 20th Anniversary CD that will be released soon after our single is released.
