Sweetz is a Liberian-American Afro-R&B/Fusion artist based in Brooklyn, NY, blending soulful vocals with Afrobeats, R&B, hip-hop, and dancehall influences. Known for her vibrant stage presence and powerful storytelling, she creates performances that move seamlessly from sultry ballads to high-energy anthems. A seasoned performer with experience opening for top African artists and commanding both intimate venues and festival stages, Sweetz delivers a show that celebrates culture, connection, and unforgettable vibes.
Sweetz draws inspiration from a wide range of acts who embody culture, soul, and performance. Vocally and emotionally, she’s influenced by Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, and Sade — artists who balanced vulnerability with confidence. Sonically, her Afro-fusion and dancehall edge comes from listening to Wizkid, Spice, Jada Kingdom, and Shenseea, blending that Caribbean-African bounce with R&B tones. On stage, her showmanship channels the boldness of Beyoncé and the energy of early 2000s icons like Ashanti and Christina Milian.
What makes Sweetz unique is how she merges these influences into her own sound: Afro-Fusion that’s sexy, soulful, and culturally rooted, while still feeling fresh and Gen Z-forward.
