October 30, 2025Thank you!
We had the absolute pleasure of having Sultry Sax play at our tea party, and he was simply amazing! His performance added such elegance, warmth, and joy to the entire event. The crowd absolutely loved him, every note he played created the perfect atmosphere.
What touched us most was his generosity, he played far longer than we had booked him for, purely out of kindness and passion for his craft. That meant so much to everyone there. He is incredibly talented, professional, and has such a gracious spirit.
I’m so thankful he shared his gift with us, it truly elevated our celebration. If you’re looking for someone to bring magic, soul, and sophistication to your event, Sultry Sax is the one! 🎷💫

About
David Wilson | The Sultry Sax
Smooth. Soulful. Unforgettable.
David Wilson, better known as The Sultry Sax, brings smooth jazz to life with a sound that’s equal parts heart and groove. Blending classic jazz elegance with the pulse of R&B and pop, his velvety tenor tone and melodic flow create music that hits deep and lingers long after the last note.
A storyteller through sound, David turns every performance into an emotional conversation—capturing moments of joy, reflection, and pure vibe. Offstage, his two decades in healthcare and work as a college professor fuel the empathy and depth behind his art.
It’s this mix of soul, skill, and sincerity that makes The Sultry Sax one of the most distinctive voices in modern smooth jazz.

Influences and inspiration
My music is inspired by some of the greatest voices in smooth jazz and soul. I draw influence from artists who know how to blend emotion, melody, and groove — players like Richard Elliot, Kirk Whalum, Boney James, and Dave Koz.
Outside of jazz, I’m also influenced by the timeless sounds of Luther Vandross, Sade, and Whitney Houston — artists whose music tells stories and connects on a deeper level.
That mix of soulful R&B and smooth, melodic jazz shapes my sound — expressive, heartfelt, and always designed to make listeners feel something.
