Strolling strings

Strolling Strings was on time, low maintenance and super fun to work with. She was able to incorporate and play our favorite song for our wedding ceremony.

On top of all that, she was down right GOOD. Sounded absolutely spectacular.

We hired Strolling Strings months in advance for our wedding, only to be completely let down. They pulled a no-call-no-show, leaving us without the music we had planned for. When our coordinator reached out to them at the time they were supposed to arrive, they claimed we had never contracted them, signed a contract, or paid them—an outright lie. Our messages in GigSalad clearly show otherwise, as we were instructed to pay via check on the day of the event. My wife then called them herself, and when confronted, they quickly backtracked on their lie, acknowledging they were hired for the event. However, they then told us they "forgot" and "your wedding is in like two minutes, so I don't know what to tell you."
The following day, we received an email alluding to some personal issues they were facing. While we can empathize with personal struggles, their lack of communication and attempt to deflect responsibility by lying to our coordinator is completely unacceptable. A no-show for a wedding is bad enough, but their handling of the situation made it even worse.
I'm sure they're very talented, but unfortunately, our guests will never know, and we will not be recommending their services to anyone.

Planning a wedding is stressful enough without having to track down your hired vendors 15 minutes before the ceremony. Thankfully, our coordinator is a rockstar who made sure there was music, and it all sounded great. The silver lining is that we were able to reallocate the funds we saved from our musicians failing to fulfill their commitment to tip the excellent vendors who did show up a little extra.

Renee is an amazing person and musician. She is very good at staying in communication. She has a great passion and love for music.

She prepares well for rehearsals and ask questions to clarify any unknowns. She has a great personality, easy to get along with, and comes from a talented family of musicians.

Renee is excellent musician and you’d be lucky to have her for your event. She played my World Premiere of my piece, Melodious at Lakewood Congregational Church on Mother’s Day.

Renee was punctual, easy to work with, friendly and sounded great. She played two sets of jazz standards and took requests. I highly recommend hiring Renee for your event!

Just as described! Used her for a cocktail hour and it made the entire event. Even played Italian songs for my family. Highly recommend.
