City Six Strings was founded in 2020 by violinist Sarah Becker and cellist McKinley Glasser. Since then, we’ve grown to accommodate performances at 200-300 events per year throughout Ohio. Though we specialize in weddings, we also play for fundraisers, house parties, corporate events, and any function that could use the sound of strings (all of them!)
We believe in creating the perfect soundtrack for your special day. With our modular ensemble and customizable playlists, we’ve found that strings can work for any event and musical taste.

June 18, 2026They set the most beautiful tone for our wedding ceremony. Got so many compliments on how excellent our string duo was. Did a great job of using my custom song list and adjusting each song in the ceremony to be perfectly coordinated with what was happening. The processional songs were played so elegantly, the recessional song played in a way that got guests excited. Can't recommend them enough! Worth every penny.

June 11, 2026We had the most lovely experience with City Six Strings where they played before he cremony and then did a the ceremony entrance and the string versions of Crystal by Stevie Nicks for the brides entrance and then Metallica's For whom the Bell tolls for their recessional.
This quartet then provided another hour or so of a variety of songs. The guests raved how lovely it was to have the live music both before the ceremony then during and again afterwards. It truly made for an amazing wedding day!!

Gig length: 60 - 300 minutes
Our wedding service includes 30 minutes of prelude music as your guests arrive, the duration of the ceremony (including special song requests), and one or two postlude songs to usher your guests out.
We also offer cocktail hour and reception music as a separate, hourly service.

Our pool of 30 musicians are classically trained, holding degrees and certificates from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Eastman School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Carnegie Mellon University, and more. Despite our classical backgrounds, we are comfortable in any genre; our members have appeared with acts from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra to Machine Gun Kelly to Michael Bublé on stages from Severance Hall to London’s West End.

We arrive at the event up to 30 minutes early to set up.
We will need armless chairs equal to the number of performers.
Unfortunately, we cannot perform in precipitation or in conditions below 60F
