I'm always happy to accommodate special requests as I am able! After I am booked for an event, I will assemble a list of songs in the requested style for the client to choose from; in the case of weddings or funerals, I can include sample programs from previous events. On the day of, I generally plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the booking begins; in addition, for weddings and funerals, I typically play about 30 minutes of prelude as guests arrive and about 10-15 minutes of postlude afterwards or until most of the guests have cleared.

For a reception or dinner experience, I can play classical standards to set the scene for a formal soiree or I can prepare a lively performance to engage your audience with whatever genre you prefer.

Julia Sedlack is a South Florida native now based in Washington, DC and has a wealth of experience performing with collegiate and semi-professional ensembles. She graduated in 2020 with dual degrees in Music and English from Samford University where she performed with the Samford Orchestra, the Samford Opera Orchestra, the Worship Arts Ensemble, and a variety of chamber ensembles. Her teachers have included Kathryn Kreuger, Jeffrey and Angela Flaniken, Laura Mozena, and Cynthia Hinkelman. In addition to her classical training, Miss Sedlack has played bluegrass and fiddle music since she was a child and has always been fond of "fiddling around."

In addition to her performance experience, Miss Sedlack is a great proponent of Suzuki music education. She is a registered teacher through the Suzuki Association of the Americas and has completed training to teach Suzuki Violin School: Volumes 1-4. She completed her pedagogical training under James Hutchins at East Carolina University, Kirsten Marshall at Ithaca College, and virtually with Allen Lieb through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
