Strings, Etc!

We provide nearly non-stop background music - arranging our materials so we do not spend time looking for particular pieces, they are arranged ahead of time. We DO take breaks for longer gigs - meaning anything over 90 minutes. However, if desired, we can "stagger" our breaks per musician so there is no "dead" time. We provide well performed music no matter what style.

We are professional musicians who freelance in the mid-atlantic area, and have formed ensembles for events. We all have performed in the highly acclaimed Maryland Symphony Orchestra, and we also currently are the core of the ensemble for Hub Opera Ensemble in Hagerstown, MD. We have been playing together for 10 years in our chamber ensemble form, but have played together much longer in larger groups. We provide professionally dressed musicians, beautifully performed music, and behind-the-scenes care to our bookings. Our musicians include Deborah Stotelmyer, former Associate Principal 2nd Violin for maryland Symphony Orchestra, Concertmaster for Hub Opera Ensemble Orchestra, adjunct faculty at Hagerstown Community College, and faculty at Cumberland Valley School of Music and Mercersburg Academy; Heather Austin-Stone, Concertmaster for Two Rivers Chamber Orchestra, Associate Concertmaster of MSO, and adjunct faculty at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV; Camilo Perez-Mejia, cellist in Two Rivers Chamber Orcehstra, adjunct faculty for Shepherd U, Solo cellist for Hub Opera Ensemble orchestra; Jason Diggs, viola- Doctorate in viola performance from Catholic University, or Teresa Gordon, Concertmaster for Loudon Symphony, section violin for MSO, plays violin or viola for us. Deb and Camilo perform as soloists and together as a duo, the trio is most often Deb, heather and Camilo.

In outdoor arenas, we require DRY and well lighted area, and we sit in a "square" rather than a row. It is advisable for us to be far enough from guests that they will not hit our bows if they are walking around, and for weddings, an adequate sightline is required. However, we will contact the venue site ourselves to make sure these requirements are met before our arrival.
