PETER MAC - Guitar
Peter Mac began playing piano at the age of 4, honing his chord progression and finger placements skills. He became attached to a guitar at age 14. After listening to the Beatles, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and George Benson, Peter's epiphany happened, knowing that behind a guitar and in front of audience is where he belonged. He attended Marquette University and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, with a double major in piano and guitar.
Peter Mac has been playing guitar for Streetlife over 23 years. His technical and emotional connection to music performance is simply outstanding. Peter also has released 10 CD's that feature originals and some covers, with musicians who, like Peter, give their all to each song. Peter has also performed with several other bands in the Midwest including Uprising, Peter Mac and the Fighting Fish, The Brian Dale Group, O.F.F., Erica Hoyt, Midnight Groove, Cold Sweat and the Brew City Horns, RNB Trio, The Donna Woodall Group to name a few, and has recorded on many albums, produces many musical projects, and is an amazing member of the best band in Milwaukee! Streetlife!!!
JOE JORDAN - Vocals
Just about everyone you talk to says the same thing…”there are so few good “Pure” singers anymore”. The likes of Nat King Cole, Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye and select greats have been largely replaced with digitally altered vocals and artists with material manufactured for mass market popularity.
Where did the singer go who sounds even better in person than on recordings? The artist who personifies “cool”, whose vocals epitomize “smooth” and who can connect “intimately” with any audience?
Just about when you are about to give up looking…you find Joe Jordan.
Just one listen and Joe reminds us why Nat King, Donny and Marvin are timeless. Why the emergence of gifted “Neo-soul”, R&B and Jazz artists like Maxwell, Brian McKnight, Will Downing and KEM are so embraced and beloved.
Joe has been a fixture in the Greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin and surrounding area since he first took to the stage as a high school senior for a local talent contest. His first two solo projects; “Can You Find Your Soul” and “Let’s Go To That Place” earned Joe Jordan three Wisconsin Area Music Award (WAMI) nominations including “Best R&B/Soul Artist”.
Joe Jordan has also performed in Tribute Concerts to Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway & Teddy Pendergrass. He has provided backing vocals for American Idol vocalist Danny Gokey and recently opened for artists such as Anthony Hamilton, Eric Benet, David Sanborn, Morris Day and The Time, Chicago, Angie Stone, Elvis Costello and Tower of Power.
Joe is in his fifteenth season as lead vocalist for Streetlife. Joe is featured on two renowned Streetlife CD projects; “Live at the Red Mill” and “Live at Jazz in the Park”.
Joe Jordan’s commitment is to the music and the art of being a consummate performer. Joe exhibits this same commitment to the kids that he teaches at Frances Starms Discovery. He strives to share his passion for music, providing opportunities for young inner city boys and girls in 3rd and 4th grades to perform and grow creatively through music, as well as be a positive role model.
WINDY HOPE - Vocals
Streetlife is excited to announce our newest addition, female vocalist Windy Hope!
Windy comes to Streetlife with an eclectic style of music and experience. She is a singer/songwriter who exhibits unparalleled passion, enthusiasm and energy to every song that she sings. Her goal, to touch the hearts of all those in the audience – no matter the song, no matter the genre - rest assured, she has no problem reaching that goal.
Windy has been sharing her talents in and around the Milwaukee area for many years. She has performed with group such as Cold Sweat and The Brew City Horns, Eddie Butts, Midnight Groove and many more. She has performed for the Summerfest Opening Ceremonies, State Fair, Church Festivals, Weddings and many other events. Windy has sung the National Anthem for the Milwaukee Brewers, the Chinooks, the Cedarburg American Legion (Memorial Day event) and for the Annual Mott’s Kite Festival.
In October of 2015, Windy sang the song “The Climb” for the Lad Lake, Inc. Gala, an organization that provides care to at risk youth. Windy left the audience in awe with her realness and passion, and received a standing ovation from the entire crowd, who was left in tears.
Streetlife is proud to have such a powerful and soulful singer like Windy. She covers anything from Adele to Etta James, Reba McIntyre to Whitney Houston. Her delivery will captivate any audience.
ERIC HERVEY - A.K.A. "The Universal Bass Player", Bass
He is a live performance and session musician who has recorded, performed or shared the stage with many notable artists, groups and dignitaries of yesterday and today, including Daryl Stuermer (Genesis, Phil Collins), Robert Redford, Katie Holmes, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Alfre Woodard, President Bill Clinton, Kerry Kennedy, Ike Cole (brother of the late Nat King Cole), Eric Benet, Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), Temptations, Doug Cameron (contemporary jazz violinist), Douglas Spotted Eagle, Tracie Peel (Ronnie Milsap), Angie Stone, Hal Leonard Publishing and many more. With over 60 recordings to his credit, his acknowledgments and awards include a 3-year spree of the Wisconsin Area Music Industry award for Bass Instrumentalist ((phone number hidden)3). This 34 year veteran's deep bass and smooth grooves are distinctly recognizable.
BRIAN DALE - Drums, Percussion
Singer, songwriter and drummer, Brian Dale is sought after for his ability to deliver music as passionate as it is intelligent, evident on his recently released CD, "Sticks and Stones."
Brian was immersed in music from the beginning. Raised by dedicated musicians, he developed early appreciation for the musical qualities he exemplifies: expression, diversity, expertise, passion and style.
"Sticks and Stones", Brian's new CD, is a culmination of Brian's rare musical presence and creativity. Opening track "Free and Renewed" sets the tone for the disc, with it's compelling vocal performance on top of a captivating groove; It also features the moody and soulful trumpet of Latin Jazz Grammy winner Brian Lynch.
Co-produced by Joe Puerta (Ambrosia, Bruce Hornsby) and Kevin Arndt, "Sticks and Stones" is a complete package: extraordinary melodies, lush harmonies, solid grooves, creative writing, consummate musicians-an exceptional work. The outcome is original and fresh, easy to listen to.
