A Stratify show is a laid back blend of funky uptempo jazz covers mixed in with some smooth instrumental ballads and great vocal tunes sung my Ms. Karen Bance and Doc Robinson. As soon as the band comes on stage they make the connection with their audience like its a backyard BBQ. Oh! You want to dance? No problem! Stratify will put some funk on ya for dancing! Come join the party cause it's a family feel and big fun at a Stratify show!
The band was formed in 2011 by bassist and bandleader Doc Robinson. The band is comprised of some of the best musicians the Bay Area has to offer: Drums is the always-funky Michael "MJ" Jackson; Guitar is Keith Ayers; and on Keyboards is Mr. Robert Bance. The Stratify horn section features Mr. Garry "G" Jones on soprano, alto, and tenor sax, Mr. Bill "Too Smooth" Smolik on trumpet and flugelhorn, and Mr. Christian Manzana on trombone. The final pieces of Stratify are Mr. Tam Sugayan on percussion, and the very talented vocalist Ms. Karen "KB" Bance.
