Ramblin’ Rita's Texas Tales brings Kayla’s passion for books, theatre, and children together in a single, fun, family friendly show designed specifically for elementary school-aged audiences. She’ll entertain young and old as she tells tall tales about the wild west and shares some silly songs. The production is the perfect fit for school assemblies, library programming, community events, and family-focused corporate gatherings.

StoryTime with Ramblin' Rita is a highly interactive children’s entertainment program. StoryTimes include 2-3 read aloud books, 2-3 songs or finger plays, puppets, and a flannel story or rhyme. Designed for children ranging from infants with their caregiver up to age 6-7, each story time can be customized to fit the theme of your event. StoryTime with Ramblin' Rita is great for preschools, montessoris, family festivals, and more. Common themes include Cowpokes, Texas Critters, Down on the Farm, and Safari Adventure. For larger events, multiple story times can be booked in a single day.

Kayla earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Texas at El Paso and has appeared in numerous local and regional productions. She’s taught acting for after school drama programs and spent a year and a half touring with the prestigious Missoula Children’s Theatre, teaching and performing with young actors across the country and around the world. When not onstage, Kayla has crafted and led story time programs for Barnes & Noble Bookstores and continues to do so as a local youth library assistant.
