Storytelling Workshop

I specialize in workshop style events with small teams (maximum ~10). This is perfect for team building events, retreats, or any events designed to increase workplace connection.

My workshops are fun, unique, and hands on. Over a few hours (3 is the sweet spot) you and your team will learn my simple story structure, construct a true story from your life, and get practice telling it (if you're comfortable). I workshop everyone's stories in a way that is educational, entertaining, and respectful to the entire group, while also ensuring that all your stories going forward will be improved.

Once you learn this structure you won't be able to go back to boring storytelling ever again!

If you have a larger group, I can adapt by limiting the number of stories publicly workshopped (though this is the best part). I can also deliver a keynote that will teach and engage the audience, but without any workshopping.

My name is Kyle Siemens and I am a screenwriter who specializes in helping other people become better storytellers — both on and off the page.

I've been coaching people and companies on storytelling for years, in both workshops and one-to-one. Helping people discover that they can be storytellers (and hearing their stories) is one of my greatest joys. I've led workshops in places as diverse as Mexico, Istanbul, and Estonia. I'm based in Vancouver but am comfortable zooming in to your team.

As an award winning screenwriter, I've had work optioned by Netflix and Roku, along with other companies. As a writing coach, I give feedback to over 1000 screenplays a year. My production company has created sketches and short films which have gotten millions of views on social media.

Ideally, there will be a projector to display a short presentation. I bring everything else.
