Steven J Push Singer/Songwriter
Overview
I regularly play up to three hour long gigs mixing originals with alternative pop acoustic music. My music can be heard on my website, (link hidden) The covers range from classic rock (Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin), to soul (Al Green, Otis Redding), blues (Stevie Ray), to pop (Michael Jackson). I pride myself on being able to react well to a crowd depending on the venue with the flexibility of being a solo act. I am a full time professional musician.

November 7, 2016Anniversary Event
Steven was great during our first anniversary event. Being a burger restaurant, guests didn't expect we'd have live music and we had many guests stay longer than then intended just to hear his set. Definitely recommend and will keep in mind if we do any other events at BurgerFi

What to expect
Typically perform solo acoustic sets of mixed cover and original music in the vein of a coffee house style show.
Depending on the needs of the show, can put on a full rock show (full band) typically revolving around blues and popular cover tunes.
Very flexible in the arrangement and have the equipment to play a small room or a large venue. Will take special song requests with advanced notice to cater to the show.
About
For the past seven years, Steven J Push has performed in St. Louis area bars and restaurants playing a mix of original and alternative pop cover music. In 2014, he recorded his first solo album, self-titled, and left his career in teaching literature to tour the country.
Growing up in the Midwest before moving to Denver (shortly after picking up the guitar) at age 11, his music has been inspired by the roots and jam music popular in Denver rooted in the blues of the Mississippi River. Classic Rock, grunge, and singer-songwriters like Martin Sexton and Dave Matthews inspire his original music toward a folk and blues based rock vein. Often compared to Ray Lamontagne by bookers, his style is reflective while remaining optimistic.
His story telling lyrics are backed by upbeat rock performances on his first project. The album - recorded in Native Sound Studios on Cherokee St., St. Louis, MO - was produced by David Beeman (who also contributed drums) with guitar and bass performances by David Vandervelde, and keys by Nathan Jatcko. The acoustic and vocal performance by Push are highlighted by the full band sound. Key tracks include “He Said She Said,” “Bronze Medalist,” “Please,” and “When the Sun Goes Down.” The ten-track album plays well from start to finish with no tracks recorded as filler.
Since July 2015 Push has toured from Brooklyn, NY to Grand Junction, CO playing his originals solo to receptive audiences.
