Steve Long and No Class
Overview
Steve happened into a west Fort Worth bar and discovered Tommy Alverson’s weekly Wednesday residency. Within a couple of weeks he discovered Brian Burns did a similar show on Thursdays at The White Elephant. Shortly after that he discovered Joe Pat Hennen and Jay Johnson and his musical tastes began to evolve at a lightning pace.
Steve covers a wide variety of artists--big stars everyone knows as well as great songwriters that fly under the radar of commercial radio. Some of his favorite artists include Guy Clark, Rodney Crowell, Waylon Jennings, John Hiatt, Doug Sahm, Kris Kristopherson, Jerry Jeff Walker, and more.

February 3, 2026Very dependable and great act
I have been booking Steve and his group for years, and he has always been one of the most dependable acts we book. Also he has a really great song selection and great group of musicians that play with him. I would hightly recomend Steve for any private event.

About
Steve Long has played in and around Fort Worth for decades as a solo artist, in acoustic duo and trios, and as the front man for the band No Class. He plays a wide selection of songs ranging from classic country like Willie Nelson, Mickey Newberry, and Charlie Pride to Americana favorites such as Guy Clark, Son Volt, and Hayes Carll. Steve is a life long Texan, growing up just north of Dallas and living in Fort Worth for the last 30 years. He grew up listening to and loving the songs he plays.
