July 27, 2021Fantastic entertainer the hit of the evening
Had a retirement party for an employee of 30 years. Stephen entertained and not only is he a tremendous musician but he was able to interact with the group. He provided many numerous historical references and made us all very comfortable and laugh. Many thanks

Stephen performed Bagpipe music at a funeral ceremony for our family. He was very professional and understood when to respectfully play according to the event and adapted to the situation. I would recommend him.

March 22, 2021Stephen executed the perfect experience!
Stephen surprised my dad for his 60th birthday. Stephen was a breeze to plan with, dependable yet flexible when coordinating, and arrived super early. We texted during the days leading up and just before he walked up and played. I'd recommend him to anyone, and will definitely be calling him again next time we are able to have a party. His playing was beautiful and so fun.

February 16, 2026Very professional
Stephen was early and ready. He also booked another piper to play with him at my request. The funeral was outside and he and the other piper graciously walked away from the site to tune up so as not to interrupt family and friends who were already gathering at the site. I would recommend.

This funeral was very well attended for a super lady that had a massive impact on her family. From a bagpiping perspective it was nice to have a second piper that could play harmonies to my melody to really bring out the best in the tunes. Thanks for hiring us Brian!

What to expect
As a client of mine you can expect: an outstanding instrument with a beautiful sound played expertly- it should sound absolutely wonderful, an easy process- it should be as easy as possible- I will communicate to be absolutely sure everything is crystal clear, a bagpiper who is 100% reliable with a perfect on time record- I am usually early to every gig to be sure you are not stressed, a professional at every stage of the event - pressed and looking smart, and lastly a piper who is approachable and friendly- I am an ambassador of sorts and I love to meet new people.
About
I started piping after my two daughters showed an interest in Highland Dancing. The sound of the bagpipes had always captivated me and I already had some musical background so I started learning. A local band started teaching me for free but then I started seeking professional tutoring and I continued to improve. I have competed solo and in a band on pipes. The rigors of competition drive you to constantly improve your playing. I started doing gigs as a favor to friends and others in my band. After some time I started getting inquiries from people who wanted to hire me to play at weddings, events, funerals, memorials, openings and other significant events. I take great pride in my piping and what I bring to an event. I purchased a set of wonderful bagpipes that were hand made by an artisan a few years back and they sound wonderful. I am constantly improving my tone- the overall sound of the bagpipe should be perfectly in tune with wonderful harmonics. It's what I strive to achieve every time I play whether for a judge, during practice or playing for a client. I also pride myself in my appearance. I dress for the occasion to honor both my client, my audience and the great music of the Highland bagpipe. I wear the full attire of the scotsman- kilt, jacket, sporran, Glengarry, Ghillie Brogues etc... I truly am an ambassador of this great heritage and music and I am proud that I am. Please consider hiring me for your next occasion.
Additional booking notes
The bagpipes need nothing else. No wires, electricity- nothing. Just water for the piper if available!
