Stephen Paul

Earlier this year, Stephen delightfully entertained our group of 45+ by singing pop tunes and playing his keyboard for my parents’ 46th wedding anniversary party. Luckily, he was available for our impromptu party, was easy to contact via phone and text, was even willing to come ‘in character’. I explained the party would be at a Memory Care facility. To my surprise, he assured me he loved performing for seniors. What a relief. We talked about how long his ‘set’ would last. I asked his price range. He brought his own equipment including a sound system, traveled light and arrived early to ‘warm up’. He also served as our emcee. I selected a few of my parents’ favorite pop tunes from a useful list Stephen provided. Another surprise was how he kept on playing after his paid ‘set’ was finished! Stephen was friendly, experienced and compassionate. He chatted with us in the audience, told stories and repeated songs everyone loved. He plays a rousing rendition of John Denver‘s ‘Take me home, country road’. Stephen gave me a priceless gift that day in June - I watched people who have forgotten nearly everything about themselves join together for an old fashioned sing-along, smiling ear to ear. Both the afternoon and Stephen were a wonderful surprise! I would not hesitate to hire him again.

I pulled a party at my home, for 50+ people together in one week. Ages ranged from early 20's to mid 60's. Nervous doesn't start to describe the intensity of pressure. Invites were by text and Facebook. I have a friend that is a chef, but entertainment??? I found "gig salad". I typed my requests for dates and music type. I received three bids immediately! I selected Steve Conrad. I couldn't be more pleased. Very professional!!!! The chaos before a party can vary. He was there an hour early. I met him for the first time when he arrived at my house. I showed him a couple areas to set-up, access to indoors in case of rain. I didn't worry the rest of the evening. In fact he played for 4 hours, we moved the party from one house to another, across the street, for a bit of surprise and Steve had no problem with the move. He set up and continued playing with ease. Steve helped the evening go off splendidly!!! Fun was had by all! Beautiful evening, awesome music!!!!thank you Steve!
