Hello, My name is Britan Gwyn. Im an artist, producer and songwriter from Harlem, NY. I grew up listening to a hiphop, neo Soul and funk music. My grandfather, who was in a 1950s group called "Robert and Johnny," was one of my biggest inspiration as a kid. My biggest music influences was Kanye West, Musiq Soulchild and Jill Scott growing up . I started writing and producing my own beats back in 2005. It wasn't until 2011 that i got my start producing for upcoming artists in Washington Heights building my name. I earned my name "Statz" for the thousands of beats i've made labeling them by the number. Through music, i want to write my own story. Often ordinary moments are just as extraordinary. I aspire to inspire others to write their own as well.
My typical set list would be OXY, FIREINSIDE, GANGSTA LUV, PLEASE DONT BREAK MY HEART and HONEST.
