I booked her to play cello on five of my own arrangements at a friend's wedding Mass. For context, I'll start by describing the setup (which I described for her upfront) since it was a little unusual.
I was on piano, I had a vocalist and a guitarist, and we were playing to backing tracks with a click track in our in-ear monitors. For preparation I provided the cellist with sheet music, reference tracks, and rehersal tracks with everything but the cello part (including the click/cue track). So essentially I provided a means to practice the pieces exactly as we would be playing them for the event.
I will grant that I gave her the sheet music and reference tracks for three songs one week before, and the rest of the resources only three days prior to the event. However, they were exceptionally easy pieces, and the cellist gave no indication that preparation would be an issue.
The morning of the wedding we managed to get set up early enough for a soundcheck and full run-through of the music with the cellist. Both the equipment and my other musicians performed smoothly enough, but the cellist was clearly unpracticed. Rhythmically she was unable to follow the click, and she was missing notes all over the place. I was thoroughly disappointed with her performance. I understand that I didn't give much time to prepare, but I don't think anything I asked was unreasonable for a professional musician. At the very least she should have communicated that she was having difficulty preparing.
Perhaps under more conventional circumstances this cellist performs better, but I cannot recommend her based on my experience.
