Smooth Sound Redefined

Very few performers can connect with a crowd in an intimate setting as well as Joy Rushing. Joy takes popular jazz classics to new levels with a smooth, effortless style befitting any Las Vegas venue. With her striking showgirl looks and exceptional taste in outfits, she always delivers top-shelf professionally arranged performances. Looking forward to her next show

What to expect

My performance mesmerizes and engages all present the second I appear. I set the stage with a soft melodic elegance and continually create an atmosphere that exudes passion and ignites your senses.

I am a consummate professional from initial planning to the execution and delivery of a remarkably captivating event. Great listener, I allow the client to tell me their desires and I make it happen.

About

Chicago born, Pine Bluff, AR raised, Joy Rushing admits to being blessed as a natural in music; having inherited similar dulcet tones and vocal range as her mother, who has an operatic voice.

Joy's dreams of stardom brought her to Los Angeles where she landed In Encino performing gigs in the park and then to Diva Night appearances at Maestro's plus the Palm's hotel where she revels her audience savor the nostalgia represented in the jazz, standards and ballads that are foremost in her repertoire. Rushing takes people nostalgically through time with her Award winning rendition of "My Funny Valentine" while sauntering through the audience igniting love and romance.

Joy is a passionate perfectionist and specializes in communicating with the client (online, email, text or telephone) to provide a venue and program customized for their event be it a sultry Happy Birthday To You, an intimate garden tea to an elaborate full orchestra accompaniment.

Joy performs with her musical partner, classically trained pianist, electronic keyboardist, Rick Michael. Joy says: "Rick and I perform with a symbiotic synchronicity which matured over 20 years of performing together."

Performing for military events, Joy integrates red, white & blue pizzazz in her jazzy patriotic songs that delight audiences. She is a Red Cross volunteer, auditioned for the USO and donates a portion of her profits of her cd sales.
