If I'm singing, acting or Komedy, I am going to leave empty, giving you all I have!

I am a Chicago native who was born and raised in the church. I am a “preacher/pastor's kid". At the very young age of eight years old, my musical gift was recognized, and I was inducted into her church’s adult choir. I have been involved with music most of my life. Acclaimed for my highly developed musical acumen, I has sung with and opened live performances for renowned gospel artists including, Ricky Dillard, Darryl Coley and Vicky Winans, to name a few. I have also taught, led and directed choirs for over 30 years. I am currently the praise and worship leader at Cathedral of Joy In Olympia Fields, IL.

In 2001, I was called to the ministry, and preached my initial sermon in 2003 entitled “It’s Time to Grow Up”. I was ordained as an elder in January of 2014.

My career as a komedian started over 5 years ago. I do a lot of character work as well as straight stand up. I have a YouTube channel and Facebook page entitled, "Special Ks Komedy Korner". I can also be found on under, Iamkaren_dade.

I have acted in over 6 plays and have done a one man show that was inclusive of me singing and stand-up comedy. I have recently started doing story-time podcasts.

I am very much into health and fitness. I have an AAS in Fitness and Exercise, BS in Sports Medicine and a MS in Nutrition. I take all natural herbs for healing. Nothing prescribed or over-the-counter.

I consider myself as a modern day "Renaissance woman". I am a preacher/singer/songwriter/komedian/actress/health enthusiast and soon to be author with the release of my autobiography entitled, "Behind The Collar". The books story is unvarnished, and takes the covers off the peaks and valleys, the highs and lows, the dependencies that plagued me, the abuses I endured, some of which were self-inflicted, and others which were exacted by people in my life, mainly men. Even though my experiences are unique to me, there are numerous threads of commonality in them that have proved to be relatable to a great many people.

To-date, I have written eleven songs and I am currently working to release my first EP.

I enjoy everything about my life and I give God all the glory for each and every gift. :-)
