Carrie was a joy to work with. She showed up on time and dressed professionally, but we ended up with a piano delivery problem. She was very gracious and understanding. I gave Carrie the eta on the piano and offered to pay her in full whether she went home or waited for the piano to arrive. She opted to wait for the piano. If you're looking for a touch of class and elegance and you're going for a timeless feel -- Carrie is the woman for the job! The music was beautifully chosen and played, Carrie was very flexible and punctual and before the day-of she made sure she had all of the details correct and assured me she would even come a little early. She was amazing to work with, super communicative, and friendly. The music I play provides a wonderful ambience to any special event. I have often been told that I have a special touch, and with over 13 years of professional playing experience, I can read the crowd well to know what kind of songs they would enjoy hearing. I play songs that people recognize at a sound level that is "background" so as to avoid drawing away too much attention from the purpose of the event. I am happy to provide a complete list of songs I play. You can sample my playing in the video section.
You can also sample my work in person if you request to come in to The Roof Restaurant on a night when I am playing.
I grew up in musical family with a father who loved to sing and play guitar and a sister who played the piano beautifully. I wanted to play just like my sister! So I began taking piano lessons at age 6 until age 14. At age 11 I began accompanying children as they sang at church. I have played for church choirs, LDS institute choir, weddings and wedding ceremonies, and corporate parties. After moving to Northern Utah I began working as a host at The Roof restaurant at age 22. Whenever I could get the chance I would play their lovely Schimmel piano before the restaurant opened or after it closed. It wasn't long before the manager asked if I would be interested in a position playing the piano at The Roof. I have been playing at The Roof ever since (going on 13 years). I also absolutely love to play for weddings and other special events.
