Southern Son is the premier Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band. There are cover bands, and there are tribute bands. The difference is that a tribute band's mission to to recreate the music with the same passion and energy as the original creators. Southern Son's love and passion for Lynyrd Skynyrd goes back a long way. We want to generate the energy of a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert of the 1970's and have our audience experience the force of the music that was so much an integral part of the atmosphere and power in those early performances.

Bob King (Gary Rossington) Lead Guitar
Phil "Zman" Zeo (Allen Collins) Lead and Slide Guitars
Gus Bruno (Leon Wilkeson) Bass and Background Vocals
Joey Stout (Billy Powell) Piano, Keys, and Background Vocals
Mike Cappi (Artimus Pyle) Drums
We have 7 people on stage, plus possibly 3 background singers. We need a stage that is at least 24 feet wide and 16 feet deep. Larger is better. Request a copy of our technical rider for sound and lighting requirements. It will include stage plot and input list. We are very simple and will be flexible with our requirements.
