What to expect
We Believe in the power of a great song.
South Of Mars was built on a simple philosophy: music should leave you feeling better than when you walked in. We don’t just play covers; we curate a sound that bridges the gap between Saturday night energy and Sunday morning soul.
The Band
The sound starts with founder Troz Pietraszuk on lead guitar, whose melodic textures set the atmospheric tone of the band. Frontman Buzz Garwood brings the voice and the heart, delivering vocals with a "spiritual grit" that turns every song into a connection point with the audience.
Holding it all together is a rhythm section with deep pockets and decades of experience: Ed Alabran driving the low end on bass with backup vocals, and Ewin Grace keeping the heartbeat of the band on drums.
The Vibe
From the driving rhythms of Tom Petty and The Police to the uplifting anthems of U2 and Collective Soul, we play the songs you know by heart—and the ones you need to hear.
We leave the drama to the red planet. Down here, South of Mars, it’s about good friends, great music, and lifting the roof off the place.

Influences and inspiration
We’re influenced by classic and modern rock acts known for strong hooks, big choruses, and high-energy live shows—bands like Tom Petty, U2, Train, Beatles, etc. We gravitate toward music that feels positive, familiar, and brings people together. In addition, we have some jazz/fusion songs that we sprinkle in.
Setup requirements
We are primarily a 4 person band so all that would entail plus extra for guest artists that sometimes play with us.
