Solo Marimba or Vibraphone

Sound Reinforcement: The marimba and vibraphone are both acoustic instruments, meaning they don't require a P.A. system to make sound. If your special event is being held in a small space with just a few guests and the music is intended as background music, no amplification is required. If the music is a feature element as a concert, a sound system would be necessary.

Space Requirements: Mallet percussion instruments take up a bit of space -- think "twin bed" size -- and the floor must be level.

Duration: You choose the time of day and the length of time that fits your event. For wedding ceremonies and funerals, it is important to remember that the time commitment is likely to be about two hours in length, even though just a small amount of music might be played.

My name is Kelli Rae Tubbs and I am a professional musician and bandleader who wants to bring my love of music written for melodic percussion instruments to your event.

It's your choice -- classic music themes featuring the mellow sound of rosewood with my marimba...or cool smooth jazz with my vibraphone.

I can perform solo (with no accompaniment) or with pre-recorded tracks...or I can another musician along, like a pianist or guitarist, who will bring more musical elegance to your event.

These musical instruments cannot be used in outdoor venues without cover. Direct sunlight and rain can both be damaging to the instrument. Similarly, cold temperatures can cause damage as well.
