Overview

Hi! My name is Turner Sperry and I'm currently pursuing my masters degree in cello performance at Florida State University. I play for a variety of events, with weddings, community events, church services, and retirement communities, being a few examples.

Please contact me at least two weeks from the event date if you have music requests. I tend to book clients independent of the gig salad site after making contact because of unnecessary fees pushed on both parties, but I have my own contract to ensure a mutual agreement. I hope to play for your event soon!

Sincerely,
Turner Sperry

Beautiful Music and Friendly People

We initially hired Turner, but ended up hiring his whole string quartet. It was a fantastic idea. Absolutely beautiful music. So many people were surprised they were still students. Fabulous music. Fabulous outfits. Definitely hire them.

About

Hi! My name is Turner Sperry and I'm a sophomore here at UNI studying cello performance and environmental science. I'm looking to continue my performing experience, and am willing to play in, around, and outside of Cedar Falls. Payment will vary, but I'm mainly focused on building a diverse background in performance.

Contact me at least a week or two from the event date if you have specific music, you want performed (Christmas music, classical, wedding music, etc). I'm open to playing more than just classical music, and would love to play for your event!

Additional booking notes

My requirements are somewhat loose in the sense that I can be of service to you as something like a background music performer, all the way to an actual performance/concert. Since I am a student, I don't have equipment for things like lighting, sound, and staging, so that would have to be up to the client.

I'm very open to all kinds of experiences and kinds of gigs. :)

Influences and inspiration

My cello professor here at the University of Northern Iowa, Hannah Holman, has always challenged me to become the best cellist that I can be. She's very well known in the music community, and I wouldn't be where I am today without her teachings and guidance.

She's been feeding my passion for the cello for several years now, and I want to continue sharing what I've learned to the rest of the world through performance.
