Overview

My style is pretty straightforward, (B&W with dynamic warm and cool grays) that are whimsical and lighthearted. I create, what I call ‘new school’
Caricatures. With just a click I capture a picture with my phone and hand back a finished product in (+ or -) 15 minutes. Setting the model free to socialize at the event rather than sit and pose. This technique has absolutely revolutionized my ability to handle large quantities of high quality portraits in a short fixed time period. Roughly 4-5 per hour (more if kept very minimal)

Personality & Great Caricatures!

Rob was outstanding in every respect. He showed up early to set up, even gave me a hand with a couple things before my event. People loved his work and had a great time engaging with Him. Overall Fantastic!

Wonderful addition to our birthday celebration!

Rob was one of the biggest hits of the night. The caricatures are not only incredibly well done (he's a true artist), but they somehow capture people’s personalities too — which makes them feel much more special than the typical event sketch.

Guests genuinely were excited to take them home, and it became both entertainment during the event and a keepsake afterward. Professional, kind, easy to work with, and fantastic with both kids and adults.

Highly recommend for parties, school events, fundraisers, weddings, or really any event where you want something memorable and interactive.

Excellent! Office had so much fun

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting Robert at our office, and he exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, he was incredibly friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about his craft. His talent is exceptional - Robert took the time to thoughtfully bring each employee’s caricature to life, incorporating personal details such as pets, hobbies, and individual interests into every drawing.
What truly set Robert apart was his incredible dedication. He worked tirelessly throughout the event and even went above and beyond by finishing drawings that weren’t able to be completed on-site, personally dropping them off the very next day. That level of care, follow-through, and professionalism speaks volumes about the kind of artist he is.
It was an absolute pleasure having Robert at our event, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caricature artist. He is not only friendly and easy to work with, but also an extremely skilled and well-trained artist with an impressive portfolio that extends beyond caricatures, including murals and other commissioned artwork. I would gladly work with him again and would love to have him back for future events.

What to expect

People really seem to love getting a portrait without sitting and posing for it.
Currently, I’m utilizing the camera on my phone to snap a photo of the models and work with a sign-up sheet.
This practice frees the attendees to enjoy the event more thoroughly.
I’ve been able to complete up to 20 in a 3 1/2hr. Booking. This process is especially great for guests who;
A.) sign up late or have to leave early and need to have their drawing shipped the next day.
B.) would like to text me a picture of a pet, partner, etc. to add to their portrait.
C.) simply want one and don’t care to sit for it.
I have been using high quality Strathmore drawing paper and now will offer a Spot Color* option at No Additional Charge. (*for a limited time)

About

Pre high school art education;
Studied drawing with color at The Art Institute of Chicago (Young Peoples’ studio)

Finished High School at the art -centric Sarasota High School

Graduated from the prestigious Ringling School of Art and Design with a degree in illustration.
“Ivy League, rated top 5 art college in the country consistently”

Tribute Artist offerings:
I’ve been a musician in several Chicago music scenes over the last 3 decades. I’m currently performing on piano and singing solo while forming a small band as this endeavor finds a market.
My repertoire of ‘Dark Americana’ features mostly songs by the legendary Tom Waits (29 songs) but also include artists like; Mark Lanegan, John Prine, Lucinda Williams, etc.
This is a niche genre of melancholy and utter sadness NOT recommended for children’s parties
Or corporate fundraisers. I suppose booking rates would be similar to that of the portraits.

Setup requirements

A well lit area with at least one chair and small table. Preferably a barstool and high-top table for maximum visibility.
