You can expect Rich:
To play guitar and sing cover songs with backing tracks of tunes from the 50's to 2000's, or country, or both.
To show up and set up on time.
To play 45 minute sets and take a 5 minute break.
To try and engage the audience to sing along.

Rich Smiddy, known as Smidmanmusic, is a versatile singer and musician based in Merrimack, New Hampshire. A retired U.S. Air Force veteran and IT professional, Rich found new life in music after retiring in 2023, picking up the guitar to complement his naturally smooth and dynamic voice.

Rich’s love for performing goes back to the 1980s, when he played drums and sang in several rock and country cover bands. Today, he brings that same passion to the stage as a solo act, performing with guitar and high-quality backing tracks. His repertoire spans decades, from 1950s classics to 2000s hits, along with timeless country favorites.

Over the past year, Rich has played for diverse audiences at private events, Elks Clubs, American Legion posts, retirement communities, small restaurants, and even the VA medical center. Known for tailoring each setlist to fit the crowd, he creates a fun and engaging atmosphere that encourages singalongs and audience participation.

With his wide-ranging song list, smooth vocal style, and warm stage presence, Rich consistently wins over audiences—earning compliments and repeat invitations after every performance. Smidmanmusic isn’t just about playing songs; it’s about creating memorable musical experiences that connect people across generations.

Rich does not need any lighting, staging, or sound requirements.
He has a Taylor acoustic guitar and Fishman mini Loudbox amp. He also has 2 PA speakers for large venues if needed.
