Overview
Dr. Jeanie Allen (Drury University Springfield MO) says this about Rachel: "I had the pleasure of taking my current alpha class to Jekyll and Hyde at the Vandivort Theatre. The female lead starred one of our Drury seniors, Rachel Gitel. I had Rachel in Alpha four years ago ... and it was an amazing experience to watch her bring down the house!"

Gitel scores with her clear-eyed take on "Jonah Man," followed by the company's summary of their financial woes as "When It's All Goin' Out and Nothin' Comin' In."...any show with such tunes as "Meet Me in St. Louis," "Wabash Cannon Ball," "America the Beautiful," "Wayfaring Stranger," "A Bird in a Gilded Cage," "Bill Bailey," "You're a Grand Old Flag" and "The Yankee Doodle Boy" should appeal to folks looking for an airy evening of musical Americana.”–Larry T. The experience of watching my 'new' alpha students see one of our seniors in an outstanding performance. Priceless. Jeanie K. Allen, Ph. D.
