Singer/Songwriter for Weddings/Events!

I have a variety of different ways that I perform that I tailor to the needs of each client. I can perform with an acoustic or electric guitar, with or without the loop pedal, or I can even bring out a 2, 3, or 4 piece band. I can also perform for up to 3 hours (with a couple short breaks). Curtis Stith is an independent Folk/Pop artist from Carrboro, NC. His influences include Ben Howard, Billy Joel, Passenger, and Ed Sheeran. At the age 17, he began his career as a performing and recording artist with the release of his debut EP ‘Why Not’. As a solo act he has since performed at The NC State Fair, Oak City 7, the Local 506, Stewart Theatre, SoFar RDU, and many other venues and events.

His band, Curtis Stith and the Silver Lining, was formed in 2016, and is comprised of Cole Stith (Acoustic Guitar and bg vocals), Andre DiMuzio (Keys and bg Vocals), Peter Newell (Electric guitar and Bass), and Eli Howells (Violin and Bass). Curtis himself performs from the drum set, creating a memorable and entertaining performance that stands out among the many singer/songwriter-based groups. While creating new arrangements of songs from the 2015 EP, and writing new songs that showcase the full band sound, the new group was featured at the Carrboro Music Festival, Bourgie Nights (Wilmington, NC) The Station (Carrboro, NC), Deep South the Bar (Raleigh, NC), the Local 506 (Chapel Hill, NC), and as part of a Hopscotch Music Festival day party.

Stith has performed and toured with other bands as well, including shows at the Cat's Cradle Back Room, the Lincoln Theatre, the Pour House music hall, the NC State Fair, and many other venues.

Stith and his band are releasing their first full length album in the spring of 2017. The album showcases catchy hooks paired with story-based songwriting that quickly creates a connection with the listener. The songs, together with the live yet polished feel of the record, makes for an engaging, entertaining, and fun listen start to finish.

For solo performances, I can bring my own PA or use yours, whichever is more convenient for you. If I use yours, all I will need is a 1/4 inch input for a guitar, and a Vocal mic and stand, as well as speakers and a mixer. My PA includes two Mackie Thump speakers, and a simple 12-channel mixer, as well as two vocal mics. In that case I will just need a power supply within 20-30 feet of where I am performing.
