About
Although Jukebox Jed, aka: Tennessee Jed, is primarily an original singer/songwriter in the Americana genre, he also plays a large variety of cover songs during his solo performances spanning most genres of popular music. With a repertoire that includes classic and modern rock, folk, country, soul, bluegrass, grunge, R & B, jazz, jam, and world music, Jed can cater his show to the preferences of the crowd, always knowing which song to pick next to keep the mood just right. This versatility makes him a perfect match for any occasion, from backyard party or rowdy bar to listening rooms, dinner crowds, and more formal situations. Jed has been living the life of a real-live jukebox since his early teens, and he has the vocal and guitar chops to not just play, but own the material. Not your typical acoustic "guy in the corner," Jed plays hits from artists you recognize, but not necessarily the ones you expect to hear, all while subtly intermixing his catchy original tunes. The diversity of styles covered provides something for every musical taste, and Jed can happily accommodate most audience requests. Also available with a sideman if a duo is desired.
Additional Booking Notes
All I need is an electrical outlet and some sort of shelter in the event of bad weather. My setup is small and efficient, so minimal space is needed. I provide my own stage lighting, but some regular light during setup and teardown is appreciated. I am equally comfortable indoors or out, but if it's very cold, some source of heat may be necessary to keep the fingers limber.
